I'm afraid opening things up again, too soon, will be like when you're taking antibiotics. If you stop taking them when you're feeling better instead of taking the whole bottle until it's empty, the infection will come back even worse than it was originally and is much more difficult to kick.

Alone
by Youngaposthate inhey you all, i'm honestly pretty depressed on my own out there.
it's quite terrifying being on your own out there in a lone wolf kinda way.
i'm not sure how much my brain can tolerate this mest up feeling of social abandonment caused by the borg and family.

Yeah....it's pretty lonely at times (especially now) when you leave the group. That's why most stay with it even when it isn't making sense to them.
Right now with the covid19 distancing everyone is feeling a lot like what you're feeling but at least they know they can go back to their regular life once it's over.
In regard to your life vs death feelings, you're not the first person to feel that way nor, unfortunately will you be the last. You are in emotional pain and it's natural for you to want it to stop. Like most people you really want to live but you want the pain to stop and you don't have the skills YET to know how to go about it.
What you're going through now is kind of like physical exercise, you can't get stronger until you go through the pain and strain. No one can do it for you but they can encourage you to keep going and help you remember that everything is difficult before it becomes easy.
It may be helpful to stop looking back on how things were in your old life and comparing them to how things are now. It's too soon for that. We tend to look back on things and remember them better than what they really were. At the same time it may be helpful not to look to far into the future into the unknown. Right now odds are you won't be able to come up with anything hopeful about the future right now because there are too many unknowns. Looking too far into the future will make you feel worried and hopeless.
Try to stay in the moment as much as possible and trust that if you put one foot in front of the other and keep your nose pointed toward the things you want and your mind off of the things you don't want, you will get where you want to be.
Get a notebook and when you catch yourself worrying or ruminating on negative thoughts, write them down and write out a few possible solutions and two or three things you can do tomorrow to move you closer to where you want to be. Put the notebook aside and resist thinking about those things and find comfort in the fact that you have a plan for tomorrow, no matter how small it may seem.
It's good that you reached out to us here, most of us have been where you are at some point and have make it through to the other side.
Be patient with your self through this and try to remember that even though it feels like it, your life isn't an emergency. You are not responsible for having all of the answers all of the time. Happiness isn't like a bus stop that you arrive at one day and there you are. It comes in moments and hours and stretches of time both short and long. The more you're able to roll with the punches and adjust to change, the more of it you'll experience.
This is a weird time in history with all that's going on so your struggle is extra difficult right now. There are professional services out there who are now more than ever making themselves available by phone or internet to those who find themselves struggling. Take advantage of them. Keep talking and reaching out. Be helpful to others, reach out to someone in need. Often when we help someone else, we are benefited most. Avoid watching the news....go on a news fast. Make sure to get outside and take a walk for an hour each day so that you can gain a little perspective on life. Keep checking in here and let us know what's going on or ask for advice about specific areas you need help with.
You can stand just about anything if you take it an hour at a time.

his specialty is foot fetish stuff and it turns out two jehovah's witnesses who happen to be cousins stopped by his door.
he told them he has a foot fetish and asked if they would allow him to video their feet.

Maybe your problem is masturbation. LOL!
That would apply to an over-whacking generation rather than a generation that overlaps

A Question: How About Praying for -or Including a Mention of - Covid-19 First Responders?
by Room 215 inhow do you think the congregation would react?
-
Pete Zahut
It seems to me a JW might think that praying specifically for God to help a non JW group would be a conflict of interest. They believe what’s happening is meant by God to take place and is justice being meted out to a wicked world. They’d only pray for Gods help and guidance to be directed toward the JW organization to wisely take advantage of whatever Satans world has to offer them in the way of assistance. Gods help is only for them. The rest of the world is being guided by Satan.

The Myth About Jehovah as a "GOD of LOVE".
by smiddy3 ini`ll list a few things and welcome any input, comments you may have .. 1.when adam & eve "sinned" disobeyed him, surely god could have handled it better than to condemn all future generations to disease and death ?.
2.his handling of satan who supposedly seduced eve to disobey god could also have been done a lot differently with a finality to it.. 3.i find little if anything in his dealings with the patriarchs that suggests a loving god protecting them.?.
4.taking on the nation of israel and leading them as his chosen people does not inspire confidence or trust as a god of love.. 5.throughout the hebrew scriptures / old testament his chosen people were constantly at war with other nations which of course would have meant many deaths of the israelite`s during these battles .and the grief that comes with family members in those times.

There are any number of individuals, groups, organizations and nations today who have convinced themselves that there is a God and that they are his chosen ones and that their every move is of significance to him and the universe.
I believe it was no different in “ bible times” and it’s writers were just as deluded about the existence of God and his supposed views on matters. This is evident from the fear based nonsensical tall tales and convoluted and unscientific explanations regarding the origins of the earth and mankind.

Does God listen and answer prayers for coronavirus patients?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy cousin has been in a medically induced coma for the last three weeks due to the coronavirus.
we just found out today that he was sent to rehab for physical therapy.
he is awake, cannot walk, and cannot talk due to damage to his vocal cords from being on a ventilator for three weeks.. my cousin has many religious friends who have posted ''get well soon'' messages on his facebook page.

It's a heck of a deal for JW's....they get to have it both ways.
When the outcome of any adverse situation comes out well for a JW, Jehovah surely had a hand in it...he's a mighty and loving God who hears and answers prayers.
If things end badly for a JW, they say "Jehovah doesn't allow us to be tested beyond what we can bear" "time and unforeseen occurrences befall us all" "Jehovah is not slow respecting his promises and will soon resurrect those who died faithful to him".
It's a win win situation no matter what happens.

Why do Jehovah`s Witnesses Shun fellow believers When God and Jesus never shunned even Satan ?
by smiddy3 inscholars generally agree that it was written between the 7th and 4th centuries bce, with the 6th century bce as the most likely period for various reasons.
the book of job .. so according to jw`s about 6,000 years ago satan rebelled against jehovah god ,did jehovah disown him there and then shunning him ?.
apparently not as we can read from the book of job centuries later that satan could still come and go freely before the throne of jehovah in heaven .job 1: 6. and apparently he could still do this for centuries later ,that is coming to and fro before jehovah because according to the jw religion he wasn`t cast out of heaven for another 2,000 years until the 20th century .. now in the case of jesus much of what is said about jehovah and satan also applies to jesus before he came to earth.. but even when he was on earth he didn`t shun satan either in fact he allowed satan to lead him around according to the bible account.luke 4:13 so the devil having concluded all the temptations retired from him until another convenient time .so it wasn`t jesus calling the shots here it was satan .. mark 1: 13 he ,jesus, also shared 40 days in the wilderness with satan letting him tempt him .. so their was no way either jehovah or jesus ever shunned satan the devil according to the bible writings.. and when jesus ascended to heaven after his sacrifice he along with his father jehovah still had association with satan the devil until he was cast out of heaven 2,000 years later ,according to the jw`s..

Satan was never baptized so they don’t have to shun him.

Hello Sister,
Nice to hear from you again despite the many many Jehovah's Witness cliche's used to convey your assumptions regarding my standing with the creator of the universe. I'm not sure how any of us can know so much about what God does or doesn't want or what he's thinks of individuals but it's clear that you think that I'm a goner and you, as someone who has it made with God, are duty bound to punish me, in his name, if I don't become more like you.
Your text, rather than being a warm message from a sister to a brother, was as if you cut and pasted lines out of the Watchtower and was a reminder of why I chose to leave. I received your message of judgement loud and clear. Even though you are convinced that I'll receiving the same punishment as people like Adolph Hitler and other evil doers who have lived throughout history, I am confident that if God does have an earthly Paradise planned for us as you say or some other Utopia, there's no reason I shouldn't be a part of it and that I'll see you there as well.
I realize that you mean well and I also realize that even though you feel free to make assumptions about my standing with God, express your religious views with me and expect me to click on the links you've provided, I will never be allowed to express my views with you, nor would you look at any information I might provide for you .
I'm sure on some level you believe that you really do love me however I've come to realize, that your love is conditional upon me having the same religious views as you do and you are primarily interested in saving your own hide lest God punish you for having anything to do with your evil Brother . Despite your low opinion of me, I want you to know that my door is always open to you, no matter what your religious views are.

Need help. Please and thank you.
by lastmanstanding ini have a trove of old watchtower literature.
i know of course, and for example, to keep the three first volumes of the watchtower (bound) and a bunch of other items.
(and i handle them delicately.).

Pete Zahut
I understand people sell old literature on eBay. That might be an option rather than to throw them out. Or give them to someone who would be interested in selling them that way, if you're not.
